The Volkswagen Passat is getting two new trim levels for 2014 – Executive and Executive Style – to sit above the entry-level Passat S and BlueMotion.
2014 VW Passat Executive and Executive Style revealed
Volkswagen has decided that buyers of the Passat – not exactly the best-selling car in the VW range – want some extra toys on their new Passat, so they’re introducing two new trim levels for 2014.
The Passat executive comes with 17″ Michigan alloys, extra chrome, matt black roof rails (on the Estate), VW’s RNS 315 touchscreen SatNav, Vienna leather, heated front seats, electric driver’s seat, Climate, auto lights and wipers, Cruise and rear parking sensors.
VW say that the total cost of the extra equipment over and above the old Highline trim is £1700, but the Executive costs just £200 more with prices starting at £22,900 for the Passat 1.4 TSI 160 PS saloon rising to £28,160 for the 2.0 TDI 177 PS with 6spd DSG ‘box.
If you want even more goodies on your Passat, you can opt for the new Executive Style trim which adds in sports suspension, 18″ Kansas alloys, bi-xenons and privacy glass for an extra £995 over the Executive trim, with prices for the Executive Style starting at £23,895 and rising to £29,155.
The VW Passat Executive and Executive Style are available to order from today, with the Highline, Sport and R-Line trim levels dropped.
