It’s more than four years since the new Citroen C4 was revealed, so it’s time for a titivate. But you will have to look hard to see what Citroen has done to the C4 to make it a new model for 2015.
The interior gets tweaks that are minor too, with new upholstery giving a visual boost, a simplified dash with a new 7″ touchscreen, keyless and new options like a massaging driver’s seat, Panoramic roof with electric blind, Lane Departure Warning, Hill Start and Blind Spot Monitoring.
Under the skin the current crop of engines are carried forward, but there is a new 1.0 litre 3-cylinder engine option.
The new engine is a 109bhp version of Citroen’s 3-cylinder PureTech petrol – the PureTech 110 – which comes with a manual gearbox and delivers 151lb/ft of torque with official economy of 60.1mpg.
The C4’s other engines – including the 130PS version of the 1.0 litre PuireTech and the new BlueHDi diesels with lower NOx – carry over.
The updated Citroen C4 goes on sale in the UK in Spring 2015.
