2016 Toyota RAV4 UK prices and specs announced
The Toyota RAV4 has had a bit of a makeover for 2016 – and the arrival of the RAV4 Hybrid – and we have full specification and price details. Costs from £23,695.
We got our first look at the 2016 Toyota RAV4 back in April as Toyota revealed the new Hybrid RAV4 – which gets the hybrid powertrain from the NX300h and the 2016 titivations – but now, as the new RAV4 goes on sale in the UK, we get full price and specification details. The big news is probably the arrival of the hybrid RAV4 with its 2.5 litre engine, but there’s also a new 2.0 litre D-4D diesel and a tweaked 2.0 litre petrol with better economy and lower emissions.
Other changes include upgraded equipment levels, new trim levels and Toyota Safety Sense as an option on all but the entry-level model.
The new trim levels for the RAV4 are Active, Business Edition, Business Edition Plus, Icon and Excel, with the entry-level Active (from £23,695) coming with the 2.0 D-4D diesel and a spec including Toyota Touc 2 multimedia, DAB, Cruise, 17″ alloys, LED running lights, Air Con, electric door mirrors and Privacy glass.
Business Edition models (from £24,595) add stuff like Climate, auto lights and wipers and a rear view camera, and the new Business Edition Plus (from £26,195) is a hybrid only option that adds LED lights, power tailgate and Keyless.
You have to get to the RAV4 Icon (from £26,995) to be able to choose from the three powertrain options and 4WD, and if you do you’ll get 18″ alloys, leather and Alcantara, electric drivers eat, heated front seats and Alcantara on the dash, with the new range-topping Excel RAV4 adding Touch 2 with Go, leather, roof rails and parking sensors.
The new RAV4 is now available to order from Toyota’s UK dealers, with first customer cars due January 2016.
