The 2017 Kia Picanto gets a mini reveal from Kia, with a few photos showing the new Picanto and its new GT-Line trim. Debuts at Geneva 2017.
It may be a couple of months before the Geneva Motor Show, but that hasn’t stopped Kia from previewing the arrival of the 2017 Picanto with a handful of photos. Not so much a tease as a starter.
The new Picanto gets an extra 15mm in its wheelbase for a bit more interior room, and Kia has pushed its wheels out to the corners for a more aggressive look and better maneuverability, despite which it’s the same length as the current Picanto.
What is also on offer to go with the sportier look the new Picanto gets is a new sport trim option – Picanto GT-Line – which accentuates the sport look.
Inside, Kia say the new interior is a suite of high-tech comfort with a new and refined cabin design complete with floating (meaning plonked on top of the dash) infotainment screen.
Kia hasn’t said, but it seems likely the 2017 Picanto will come with the same 1.0 litre three cylinder and 1.25 litre four-cylinder engines as the new Hyundai i10.
The 2017 Kia Picanto will get its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March and go on sale in the UK shortly after.
