The 2018 Lexus LS F Sport saloon is revealed ahead of its debut at the New York Motor Show as the sporty side of the new Lexus flagship.
The new Lexus LS has been revealed a model at a time as Lexus prepare to put it on sale as a 2018 model, and now we get the latest version ahead of its New York Motor Show debut – the Lexus LS F Sport. We got a look first at the new LS at the Detroit Motor Show in January, complete with a new 409bhp 3.5 litre V6, as Lexus rolled out the latest LS exactly where they rolled out the first LS in 1989.
That was followed just two months later by the ‘real’ LS – the new Lexus LS 500h Hybrid – which bowed in at the Geneva Motor Show – and now we get the ‘Sporty’ LS.
The Lexus LS F Sport is debuting tomorrow (12 April 2017) at the New York Motor Show complete with more aggressive styling including big air intakes at the front alongside the big Lexus spindle grille, 20″ alloys and some new colour options – White Nova and Heat Blue – exclusive to the F Sport.
Inside, the F Sport gets bolstered seats with perforated leather and suede, aluminium pedals, an F Sport steering wheel and instruments influenced by the LFA.
Mechanical tweaks include air suspension, bigger brakes, Dynamic Handling, chassis control and three drive modes – Normal, Sport S or Sport S+.
You can have either the new 3.5 litre V6 with 415bhp and 10-speed auto, or the LS 500h hybrid setup with two electric motors and a total output of 354bhp with a CVT ‘box which gives the feel of the 10-speed auto.
