2018 Mercedes C-Class FACELIFT
Mercedes continues its model updates with a facelift for the 2018 Mercedes C-Class and Estate getting cosmetic tweaks, new engines, improved connectivity and infotainment.
It’s a bit over four years since the current Mercedes C-Class arrived, so it’s time for a bit of a nip and tuck, a cosmetic titivate, new engines and some new goodies. Say hello to the 2018 Mercedes C-Class.The exterior cosmetic titivations are what you’d expect, with new bumpers, new headlights and tail lights, a new Diamond grille for the AMG Line models, Multibeam LED headlight option and more colour options.
Inside there’s 3D real wood veneers, optional Multicontour Seat Package with massage and a display straight out of the S-Class.
Basic models get the two tube instrument cluster with a 5.5″ display between them, but stump up money (or buy a high-spec car) and you get the 12.3″ digital instrument display with a choice of Classic, Sport and Progressive looks.
You can also change the regular 7″ infotainment screen for a 10.25″ one, and it can be controlled with touch sensitive controls on the steering wheel as well as a touchpad and voice control.
Mercedes aren’t keen to divulge what will power the new C-Class, but we know it will be a new generation of 2.0 litre four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines as well as a C400 petrol electric hybrid and, we think, a C400d diesel electric hybrid. You can also expect a C43, a C63 and maybe a C53 too.
The new Mercedes C-Class and Estate will get its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show, go on sale after its debut and arrive in Mercedes’ UK dealers in the summer.
