2019 Range Rover Evoque – all you need to know
The new Range Rover Evoque, revealed this week, has plenty of style and technology to tempt buyers. Land Rover explain all in this 12 minute video.
The new Range Rover Evoque arrived in public view yesterday as Land Rover delivered a new take on their best-selling model, a model which has already delivered more than 750,000 sales for JLR but, with ever increasing competition (did someone say Volvo XC40?), the Evoque needed bringing properly up to date, especially with sales down by a third this year. The new Evoque is still an Evoque, with signature features like the clamshell bonnet, bulging front wheel arches, rising belt-line and letterbox back window still intact.
But the cosmetic makeover has seen the new Evoque inherit the smooth, grown-up sophisticated looks of the Velar, moving away from the Tonka Toy, ‘Concepty’ looks of the original to deliver a more appealing and mature SUV.
Land Rover has also cleverly addressed some of the failings of the original Evoque, with a bit more room inside the once cramped cabin, clever technology to give a proper view out of the back window and 48V hybrid help to mitigate the often woeful fuel economy in real world driving.
It’s a compelling package, and one Land Rover has gone to some lengths to fully explain in a new information video for the new Evoque (below).
Is it enough to stand up to the rising sales of the Volvo XC40?
