The Lamborghini Cabrera, the long-awaited replacement for the Lamborghini Gallardo. has been caught on video testing at the Nurburgring.

Lamborghini Cabrera caught on video
The Lamborghini Gallardo has been with us so long that Ferrari were still offering the 360 when it launched.
The Lamborghini Cabrera is expected to share its underpinnings with the next Audi R8 (and maybe a new Porsche too) but it will almost certainly keep a V10 and send its power to all four wheels, just like the Gallardo.
Ahead of a likely debut in 2014, Lamborghini are busy putting the new Cabrera through its paces at the Nurburgring, and we have the first video of the Lamborghini Cabrera in action.
With the expectation that the Cabrera will wring more horses out of its V10 than the Gallardo – a little north of 600bhp is likely – and weight-saving thanks to plenty of aluminium and carbon fibre and other lightweight materials, we should see the Cabrera getting down towards the 3.0 second 0-62mph mark.
With a design that looks to have taken a chunk of inspiration from the Aventador, the Cabrera looks set to give the Ferrari 458 and the McLaren 12C a run for their money.
