Toyota has dropped the price of the entry-level GT86
The Toyota GT86 is getting a new four model line-up for 2015 and a new entry-level spec and price. The new Toyota GT86 Primo costs from £22,995.
Earlier this year, the price of the Subaru BRZ was dropped by £2,000 as Subaru tried to steal sales from the Toyota GT86, and now Toyota has responded by revising the GT86 range for 2015, and dropping its entry-level price by over £2,000.That means the new entry-level GT86 – the GT86 Primio – will start at just £22,995, and if you get a shake on Toyota will drop that by a further £500.
For your money, the GT86 Primio offers 17″ alloys, limited slip diff, AirCon, Toyota Touch Multimedia, Bluetooth and tyre pressure monitoring.
The original GT86 remains and gets – as do all 2015 models – a shark fin roof antenna, Tyre pressure warning and carbon-effect instrument panel as well as a rear spoiler, Keyless, Cruise, Climate, auto lights, LED running lights and auto ‘box option. The GT86 costs from £24,995.
The new GT86 Aero adds a body kit and 18″ OZ alloys for £28,495 and the new GT86 Giallo gets Giallo Edition black leather, Gloss Black highlights and Giallo Yellow paint. The Giallo is a limited edition – just 86 available in the UK – and costs from £27,495.
There are also new options for the GT86, including a Carbon Pack, JBL Pack for improved sound system, twin-line side stripes, decals and leather and Alcantara seats.
The new Toyota GT86 range is now available to order in the UK, with the firts cut-price GT86 Primos arriving in January 2015.
