The new four-wheel-drive, 681 bhp Tesla Model S P85D has gone on sale from £81,000 – with first deliveries in July 2015 – but costs £109k fully specced.

The Tesla Model S P85D – fully specced – costs £109,000
Earlier this month Tesla revealed the 4WD Model S – the Model S P85D – as a new range-topping Model S with an enormous 681bhp thanks to an additional electric motor on the front axle, and a supercar crushing 0-60mph of just 3.2 seconds.
Already on sale, the P85D will start to arrive in the UK in July 2015 and will cost from £81,000 – a proper performance bargain – but if you start to spec your P85D up as Tesla suggest – and then some – it’s quite easy to break the £100k barrier.
Tesla suggest that buyers of the P85D should spec it with the Tech Pack (£3,600), Air Suspension £1900), 21″ wheels (£3,800) and Next Gen seats(£1700).
We went a bit further and added stuff like a Panoramic roof (£2100), carbon fibre spoiler (£850), Dual Chargers (£1250), Ultra High Fidelity Sound (£2100), Premium Leather (£3800), Rear Facing Seats (£2100) and a set of Winter Wheels and tyres (£4600), plus a few additional add-ons, which meant a grand total of almost £109,000.
At that price, the fully specced cP85D is entering the realms of real ultra-premium performance saloons, yet its enormous performance still makes it hugely appealing.
