Top Gear Tour goes ahead as Clarkson, Hammond & May LIVE
The Top Gear Live Tour 2015 is to go ahead despite the sacking of Jeremy Clarkson by the BBC, but with Top Gear and BBC branding removed. It will be Clarkson, Hammond & May LIVE instead.
The BBC may have sacked Jeremy Clarkson over his fracas with a Top Gear producer – and there’s not much chance we’ll see the missing Top Gear episodes from series 22 either – but there’s been a dose of commercial pragmatism from BBC Worldwide that will see the Top Gear Live Tour go ahead much as planned.
All Top Gear and BBC branding is being removed from the tour, which will instead be billed as ‘Clarkson, Hammond & May Live’, but otherwise will be much the same. Think of it as turning the clock back a few years to the MPH Shows that morphed in to the Top Gear Live Tour.
That means the live shows in Norway, cancelled whilst the Clarkson fracas was going on, will now happen on 20-21 June, the Australians will get the trio in July and the tour will end in the UK at the O2 Arena in November.
Which is all very sensible and grown-up. But what will happen in 2016?
