2015 Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo costs from £14,645
The Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo – a sporty take on the VW Polo-derived Fabia – will cost from £14,645 in the UK for the Fabia 1.0 MPI Hatch. Also available as an estate.
It’s a year since the new Skoda Fabia arrived ahead of its debut at the Paris Motor Show, so Skoda are attempting to inject a bit of additional appeal in their take on the VW Polo with the arrival of the Fabia Monte Carlo. The Fabia Monte Carlo aims to inject a bit of extra style – whether you opt for the hatchback or estate – by building on the Fabia SE spec with stuff like 16″ black alloys, black grill and door mirrors, body-coloured spoiler at the back, Fogs, LED running lights, panoramic glass roof, sports seats, red centre console, black trim inserts, sports steering wheel, Monte Carlo badging and, on the estate, black roof rails.
Skoda are also offering the Monte Carlo with the Fabia’s full range of engines – so, despite appearances, this isn’t a performance Fabia – with the 1.0 litre MPI with 75PS (costing from £14,645), 1.2 litre TSI 90PS (costing from £15,220), 1.2 110PS (costing from £15,870), the 1.4 TDI 90PS (costing from £17,220) and the 1.4 TDI 105PS (from £17,820.
You can have a DSG ‘box on the 1.2 TSI 110PS for an extra £1,000, and estate versions add £865 to the price (but there’s no DSG version of the estate and nor can you have the 1.0 litre three-cylinder engine).
