Nissan Micra N-TEC arrives with added equipment
The Nissan Micra N-TEC has been added to the Micra range (between the Acenta and Tekna) with added equipment in an effort to boost Micra sales.
Nissan are trying hard to get buyers in to the Micra, with a facelift a couple of years ago to try and shake off the ‘Cheap’ tag, and a Limited Edition Micra last year with cosmetic tweaks. Now we get the new Nissan Micra N-TEC with added equipment to tempt buyers in to Nissan’s showrooms. The Micra N-TEC sits between the Acenta and Tekna specs, and looks to be a good compromise buy thanks to a decent spec.
The N-TEC’s spec includes NissanConnect with a 5.8″ colour touchscreen offering Sat Nav and Smartphone integration as well as Google’s ‘Send to Car’ functionality so you can map your route on another device and send it to your Micra.
Other goodies include rear parking sensors and parking slot measurement which help drivers judge if a space will be big enough, with the option to decide your skill level and therefore the tightness of the gap (what’s the betting every male Micra driver, if there is such a thing, sets it to ‘expert?).
There’s also Climate. auto lights and wipers, 16″ alloys, Fogs, privacy glass, gloss black centre console, blue stitching and 16″ alloys.
Engine choices for the Micra N-TEC are either the entry-level 1.2 litre with 80PS or the 1.2 litre DIG-S supercharged engine with 98PS.
The new Nissan Micra N-TEC is now on sale in Nissan’s UK showrooms from £12,400 (the Micra range starts at £7,995) and will get its public debut next month in Frankfurt.
