Jeep sales in the UK DOUBLE as range expands

Jeep has revealed that its UK sales have all but doubled in the last year, thanks to a more impressive range and good sales for the new Jeep Renegade.
Jeep hasn’t ever had real sales success in the UK, but that looks to be changing as the Jeep offerings expand – and quality improves as Jeep work to make their cars more European-friendly – with new sales in the UK up by an impressive 196 per cent year on year to September 2015 compared to the same period a year before – exactly as Jeep predicted more than a year ago.Admittedly, the huge percentage increase doesn’t mean massive sales – 8420 new cars sold so far this year – but it is an indication that Jeep is moving in the right direction, and that the new Jeep Renegade was a very sensible move (it’s not just a Jeep-ified Fiat 500X. Honestly).
In fact, the new Renegade has managed to rack up September 2015 sales of 1299 all on its own, with the Cherokee contributing 335 sales and the Grand Cherokee 356. Which does make you wonder if sales of the Cherokee and Grand Cherokee are actually falling?
Still, Jeep are chuffed with the figures, with Damien Daley, Jeep’s Brand boss in the UK, commenting:
The sales figures are fantastic news, not only for new Renegade, but for the Jeep brand as a whole.
It is quite clear that more people are turning to Jeep for their next car, as we bring exciting new models to the UK.
We were confident last year that Renegade would help us to grow the Jeep brand, and I’m delighted that’s happened. But it won’t stop there – I can promise more to come from us yet.
Let’s hope Jeep manage to keep the growth continuing next year – and the Cherokee and Grand Cherokee get a shake on too.
