The Jaguar F-Type SVR prices and specifications have been fully revealed, with its 5.0 litre 567bhp hitting 62mph in 3.5 seconds. Costs from £110,000.
In the middle of January we published a full set of photos of the new Jaguar F-Type SVR – Jaguar’s new range-topping, 4WD F-Type – which arrived a bit sooner than Jaguar had planned.Jaguar responded with a pared down reveal for the F-Type SVR a week later, but now we get the full specifications and prices for the SVR F-Type ahead of its public debut in Geneva.
Jaguar are calling the F-Type SVR an ‘all-weather’ supercar thanks to its four-wheel drive, and that 4WD setup certainly helps with putting the power down even when things get slippery.
With 567bhp available from the 5.0 litre supercharged V8, the SVR can scoot to 62mph in 3.5 seconds and on to 200mph, making it the quickest and most powerful series production from Jaguar ever.
Costing from £110,000 for the SVR Coupe (£115,485 for the Convertible), the SVR is getting on for £20k more than the F-Type R, although its performance is impressively improved despite a headline increase in power of just 25bhp.
That’s down to a combination of things, including new aerodynamic stuff like a new splitter, bigger air vents, new diffuser, an active rear wing and a flat underfloor.
There’s also a new set of wider alloys with bigger tyres, carbon ceramic brakes and a titanium exhaust, all of which help to cut the weight of the SVR.
Inside there’s quilted leather sports seats, contrast stitching, modified steering wheel and aluminium flappy paddles, but this is no pared-back supercar, and the F-Type’s cabin carries over without a hair shirt ethos.
The Jaguar F-Type SVR is now on sale at Jaguar’s UK dealers, with Jaguar reckoning the first customers will get their cars in the summer.
