The McLaren 570GT has been revealed as a new model in McLaren’s Sports Series, with new design, more space and more luxury. Costs from £154,000.
There has been talk for some time that we might see some sort of McLaren Shooting Brake to extend the Sports Series range, but in fact we’re getting a more comfortable, more luxurious take on the 570S, with extra room for more stuff, a new boot and roof design and a new name – the McLaren 570GT.The McLaren 570GT has been revealed ahead of its debut at the Geneva Motor Show next week, and McLaren say it’s “The most luxurious and refined of any McLaren to date”.
Sharing the same basic setup as the 570S, the 570GT gets new rear anti-roll bar settings and reduced spring rates or more comfort on poor roads, as well as a tiny reduction in steering ratio.

The McLaren 575 GT’s interior
Inside, there’s lots of soft leather, heated seats and even soft-close function for the dramatic doors, and with a glass roof that extends to the back creating a new roof line and some extra storage space at the back.
That means the 570GT has two ‘boots’, and the new back boot takes the capacity up to 220 litres (although you won’t be able to see what’s going on behind if you fill the back boot), accessed by a side-hinged rear door (a bit like the original Jaguar E-Type).
Under that new back boot and roof sits the same 3.8 litre twin-turbo V8 as the 570S, good for 0-62mph in 3.4 seconds (a tad down on the 570S and a bit up on the 540C) and a top speed of 204mph.
The McLaren 570GT will debut at Geneva next week, and go on sale in McLaren’s UK dealers soon after. How much does the McLaren 570GT cost?
That’ll be £154,000 – £10k more than the 570S.
