The Aston Martin DB11 has been officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show with a 5.2 litre, 600bhp V12 good for 0-62mph in 3.9 seconds. Costs £154,900.

We had the first official photos of the new Aston Martin DB11 the other day as the internet pulled its usual trick and leaked them out.

But now we get the real deal, with the new DB11 officially uncovered in Geneva, looking as good as an Aston Martin should and featuring a new twin-turbo, 5.2 litre V12 with 600bhp on tap.

Replacing the glorious DB9 after almost thirteen years, the new DB11 is the most powerful DB production car to hit the road, thanks to its new V12 engine.

That new 5.2 litre V12 comes with 600bhp and 516lb/ft of torque – enough to get to 62mph in 3.9 seconds and on to 200mph – with power going to the back wheels through ZF’s eight-speed torque converter auto ‘box – with GT, Sport and Sport+ modes – with a limited slip diff and torque vectoring helping with traction.

The new DB11 is longer and wider than the DB9 – and there’s an extra 65mm in the wheelbase – an looks to be more a four-seat GT than ever before.

The interior of the new Aston Martin DB11 (pictured) is still very ‘Aston’

The front and rear tracks are wider than the DB9 too, the front overhang has been reduced, the rear overhang increased and the weight distribution improved.

In t he looks department – Aston’s key asset – the DB11 still looks like a perfect AML creation, but it’s bolder than before, has LED lights at the front and back, an arc running from the A-pillar to the C-pillar. It looks how it should – a freshly minted Aston Martin.

Inside the DB11 it’s still recognisably Aston Martin, but now there’s a digital instrument panel and 8″ infotainment screen sitting comfortably alongside lashings of leather and more room, especially in the back which gets more knee room and probably enough head room to fit actual adults in.

The new Aston Martin DB11 is already on sale at Aston’s UK dealers, and if you plonk down your £155k now (and the rest by the time you’ve been busy with the endless options) you should be driving your DB11 before the leaves start to fall.
