Skoda Fabia & Citigo Colour Edition
The Skoda Fabia and Citigo Colour Edition models have been announced, with additional equipment and select colour schemes.
The month of the plate change in the UK isn’t usually a time car makers deliver special edition cars to tempt buyers, but with all things in the VW Group a little shaky after the Dieselgate crisis, Skoda are trying to offer more for less to keep buyers interested. That means the arrival of the Skoda Fabia and Citigo Colour edition models which, say Skoda, will inject more colour in to the models and offer sharp design, bigger equipment lists and cost savings.
So now you know why you should go and buy a new Colour Edition, what do you get?
The Fabia Colour Edition is based on the SE model, and comes with a choice of four colours – Candy White, Race Blue Metallic, Black Magic Pearly and Rallye Green Metallic – with contrasting black or white for the roof, alloys and mirrors.
Standard equipment includes LED running lights and cruise control, there’s a choice of 1.0 litre 3-pot or 1.2 TSI and it costs £540 more than the SE model, a saving of £505 if you’d similarly specced a Fabia SE.
The Citigo Colour Edition also gets its own colour palette – Tornado Red, Candy White, Deep Black Pearlescent and Spring Green – but with 15″ black alloys, Skoda’s Entertainment Pack, Fogs, Sunset Glass and PID.
The only engine option is the 1.0 MPI 60PS, and just like the Fabia Skoda say the saving compared to speccing the SE is £630.00.
If the Fabia and Citigo Colour editions float your boat, they do offer better value.
