The new Citroen C3 Aircross – the Citroen C3 Picasso turned in to a compact urban SUV – goes on sale in the Uk priced from £13,995 for the Touch PureTech 82.
Revealed in June, the C3 Aircross is aiming to take the fight to cars like the Nissan Juke, and it looks like it has all the ingredients – compact, practical, good looking – to make a real impact.
Citroen are clearly aiming at a younger market with the C3 Aircross than they did with the C3 Picasso, so endless (well, 85) personalisation combinations are available so buyers can make their C3 Aircross very individual (or unsellable later on if they go too daft).
A Bi-Tone roof (on Flair trim up) is available in three colours in combination with four exterior colour pack options, with coloured light surrounds, door mirrors, roof bars and rear quarter windows.
Inside the choices continue with five different interior ‘ambiences’ offering special upholstery, dash textures and splashes of colour in an interior with lots of storage space and an opening panoramic glass roof.
New technology stuff includes Citroen’s Grip Control with Hill Descent Assist, Heads-up Display, Speed Sign Recognition, Active Safety Brake, Intelligent Beam, Park Assist, Rear View Camera. Keyless, Lane Departure and Blind Spot Monitoring.
There’s also a 7″ infotainment, Wireless Smartphone Charging, 3D Citroen Connect Nav, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Not everything is going to be standard on every C3, so the choice of Touch, Feel and Flair trims (from £13,995, £15,100 and £16,900 respectively) will dictate how many goodies you get.
Engine options are much as expected, with the PureTech 82, Puretech 110, PureTech 130, BlueHDi 100 and BlueHDI 120 on offer, most with a manual gearbox but some with an auto option too.
Citroen say you can now order the new C3 Aircross from their UK dealers, although it officially goes on sale on 1 November.
