2018 Audi A7 Sportback UK Price and Specifications announced

The new 2018 Audi A7 Sportback – revealed back in October – goes on sale in the UK with a choice of a single petrol or diesel engine and Sport or S line trim levels.

The 2018 Audi A7 arrived late last year, and it looked rather good. Gone were some of the jarring proportions and odd lines and, despite still looking like an A7, it now looks how it always should have.

We covered all the basics when the new A7 was revealed, but the only thing that’s changed since then is that Audi has decided to launch the new A7 with a diesel engine option as well as a petrol one.

Those options are the A7 55 TFSI with a petrol V6 with 335bhp and 369lb/ft of torque, enough to get to 62mph in 5.3 seconds and deliver official economy of 40.4mpg.

The diesel offering is the A7 50 TDI which gets a V6 diesel with 282bhp and 457lb/ft of torque which will hit 62mph in 5.7 seconds and give official economy of 50.4mpg.

Both engines come with a 48v mild hybrid system which allows coasting between 34 and 99mph, and the start stop system now kicks in at 13mph.

Both diesel and petrol-engined A7s come with quattro four-wheel drive, with Audi’s seven-speed S tronic dual clutch gearbox in the 55 TFSI and eight-speed tiptronic in the 50TDI diesel.

A7 Sport models will come with LED front and rear lights, 19″ alloys, electric leather seats in the front and LED ambient lighting.

There’s also a fully digital Audi Virtual Cockpit, MMI Nav Plus with MMI Touch, Audi Phone Box and wireless charging, Audi Parking System Plus, Audi Pre-Sense Front Collision Warning with auto braking and Lane Departure Warning.

S Line spec adds in stuff like 20″ alloys, HD Matrix LED headlights, Sport Suspension and S line body styling.

UK pricing for the new Audi A7 Sportback starts at £54,950 for the 50 TDI quattro Sport, rising to £58,040 for the 55 TFSI quattro S line. 

The 2018 Auid A7 Sportback is now on sale at Audi’s UK dealers, with first customer cars expected in April.
