Toyota GT86 Club Series Blue Edition
The Toyota GT86 Club Series Blue Edition arrives as a special edition GT86 based on the GT86 Pro spec and highlighting its electric blue paint job.
Toyota say the Club Series versions of the GT86 sports car focus on style and performance to appeal to buyers wanting the pure joy of driving.Last year we had the GT86 Club Series Orange Edition which, rather unsurprisingly, was orange. And now we get the Toyota GT86 Club Series Blue Edition. Which is blue. Who’d have guessed?
The stand out for this new Club Series GT86 is its electric blue paint job, which gets contrasting black styling details on the grille, spoiler and diffuser, as well as the mirror housings and fog light surrounds, with the interior in black leather and Alcantara (so no blue highlights here).
You can, if you wish, add the GT86 Performance Pack to your Blue Edition, which delivers a Sachs-tuned suspension upgrade with Sachs dampers, bigger Brembos brakes, big red Brembo calipers and a set of new 17″ black alloys.
Standard equipment is the same as on the GT86 Pro spec, which means an LSD, Cruise, auto lights, Climate, Heated seats, LED lights and Toyota Touch 2.
Power is unchanged, so the Blue Edition sticks with the GT86’s 197bhp 2.0 litre boxer four-pot, good for 140mph and 0-62mph in 7.7 seconds (slower in the auto – but who’d buy an automatic GT86?).
The Toyota GT86 Club Series Blue Edition goes on sale tomorrow (1 June 2018) at Toyota’s UK dealers, with prices starting at £28,980 for the entry-level car, rising to £31,795 for the Blue Edition with Performance Pack and auto ‘box. Pick of the Blue Edition cars is the £30,455 Blue Edition with Performance Pack and manual gearbox.
