Alfa Romeo Stelvio and Giulia Quadrifoglio NRING
Alfa Romeo has created NRING Limited Edition models of the Stelvio and Giulia Quadrifoglio, and just 108 of each will be available across the whole EMEA region.
When car makers create a limited edition, it’s usually about offering more for less to get footfall, and sales, in their showrooms. But that’s not what Alfa Romeo are doing with new Limited Edition Stelvio and Giulia models. With just 108 units each of the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio NRING and Giulia Quadrifoglio NRING spread across the while of the EMEA Region (that’s Europe, Middle East and Africa), these are limited edition Alfas designed as a celebration, not a sales pitch.
The 108 cars of each Alfa are to signify one for each year of Alfa’s history, and to celebrate Alfa’s exploits at the Nurburgring, most recently when the Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio – Alfa’s first SUV – took the Nurburgring lap record for a production SUV.
Alfa say the NRING models are aimed at collectors and Alfa anoraks, with each car getting a numbered badge on the carbon fibre dashboard and a unique Circuito Grey paint job.
Additions to the regular Quadrifoglio models include carbon ceramic brakes, Sparco seats, Mopar auto gearbox knob, carbon inserts, leather and Alcantara steering wheel, carbon fibre side skirts, Adaptive Cruise, Harmon Kardon Sound, Alfa Connect 3D Infotainment and a bare carbon roof on the Giulia.
Buyers will also get a welcome kit with a scale model of their car, racing gloves, soft shell jacket, sports bag, cufflinks and footwear. They’ll also get the offer of a sports driving technique course at the Nurburgring.
Alfa hasn’t decided how much they’re going to charge for the NRING editions, but they will be letting us know when they take the cars to the 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
