Lexus CT 200h gets a range titivate for 2019
The Lexus CT 200h – the entry-level hatch from Lexus – gets a range tweak for 2019, with new trim levels following those of the new ES and UX.
The Lexus CT 200h has been the entry-level model for the Lexus range for some time, and even with the arrival of the new Lexus UX – Lexus’s new ‘baby’ SUV – the CT is still the starting point. But the arrival of the new UX – and the new ES replacing the old GS – has seen Lexus re-jig their trim levels to limit them to just three choices – entry, F Sport and Takumi – and the CT is heading the same way for 2019.
All the new models will come with Lexus Safety System+ with Pre-Collision, Lane Kepp, Adaptive Cruise and Auto High beam, with the entry-level model – dubbed simply ‘CT’ – getting 17″ alloys, Lexus Nav with 7″ screen, reversing camera, Climate and auto wipers.
The new CT F Sport – usually the pick of the range – gets 17″ F Sport alloys, the F-Sport spindle grille, Sports suspension, heated front seats, Tahara upholstery, privacy glass and F Sport steering wheel and pedals.
The CT Takumi – the luxury model – gets a sunroof, LED headlights, Lexus Premium Nav, Lark Levinson Sound and front and rear parking sensors. But there’s more to have if you want to start ticking the Lexus option packs for the CT.
Sport Pack (£500) adds 17″ black alloys, black mirrors and grille and Tahara Trim, the Tech Pack (£750 – on CT and F Sport) adds 10″ Premium Nav, LED headlights, auto high beam and headlight washers, and the Premium Pack (£1k) for the CT throws in smart entry, parking sensors, privacy glass and heated front seats.
To confuse things a bit you can also add a Takumi Pack to the F Sport (£4,850) which adds Mark Levinson Sound, Premium Nav, Sunroof, electric leather F-Sport seats, Naguri inlays and LED headlights with auto high beam.
The new Lexus CT starts at £25,150, with the F Sport at £27,150 and the Takumi at £31,250.
