Rolls-Royce Cullinan Black Badge
Rolls-Royce has given the Cullinan SUV the Black Badge treatment, adding a bit more sportiness, lots of black and a bit of extra power in the process.
We’ve had the Rolls-Royce Dawn Black Badge – and the Black Badge versions of the Ghost and Wraith – so as night follows day we now get the Rolls-Royce Cullinan Black Badge too to complete the set.Just like the Black Badge variants of the Ghost, Wraith and Dawn, the Cullinan loses its shiny bits and gets them replaced by darkened versions (even the Spirit of Ecstasy) in high gloss black chrome, and a set of 22″ forged alloy wheels covering a set of red brake calipers – yes, it’s a Rolls-Royce with red calipers.
Unsurprisingly, the Cullinan Black Badge comes with a signature Black paint job, a paint job which is applied, cured and polished by hand 10 times to get the right finish, Although, as this is a Rolls-Royce, buyers can actually have any paint job they want.
Inside there’s a raft 23 pieces of naked-weave carbon-fibre trim, a swathe of yellow leather across the door cards and dashboard to contrast with the blackness and a Starlight Headliner.
The Cullinan’s 6.75 litre V12 gets a sporty tweak, with an additional 28bhp and 37lb/ft of torque for a fulsome 592bhp and 664lb/ft of torque sent to all four wheels through the standard eight-speed auto ‘box, and there’s a bit of a suspension tweak too plus redesigned vented discs, sharpened throttle response and decreased brake travel and even a slightly louder exhaust system.
Rolls-Royce hasn’t said how much they want for the Cullinan Black Badge, but it’s going to be at least £300k.
