The open topped version of Aston Martin’s most powerful V12 Vantage has arrived as the Aston Martin V12 Vantage S Roadster.

The Aston Martin V12 Vantage S – revealed in 2013 – has lost its roof and turned in to the quickest open-top car Aston Martin has ever produced.
The V12 engine also offers delicious lumps of torque, with 457lb/ft – and most of that available almost from tickover – all delivered to the back wheels through the Graziano 7-speed automated manual ‘box.
The Roadster also comes with the coupe’s three-stage adaptive dampers which work with the steering to offer degrees of firmness and fell depending on which of the modes you select – Normal, Sport or Track.
Just like the coupe, the Roadster gets carbon fibre and titanium or silver mesh on the grill (inspired by the CC100 Speedster Concept) and lightweight forged alloy wheels, with just about everything taken straight from the coupe.
Aston Martin are also offering a selection of Q by Aston Martin options for the V12 Vantage S Roadster, including loud colours, red or satin treatment for the carbon fibre, extra carbon fibre and machined rotary controls.

Aston hasn’t released pricing for the V12 Vantage S Roadster, but as the V12 Roadster costs a chunky £15k more than the coupe it seems likely the V12 S Roadster will cost around £153k.
