The Audi A1 S-Line - the Sporty A1 S-Line package gets revealed

The Audi A1 may only just have debuted at Geneva, but we already have info on the Audi A1 S-Line.

Having had a little moan earlier that the Audi A1 overshadowed the debut of the RS5, we have to confess that we are finding the A1 a tempting ‘Only Premium Car in its Class‘, mini-bashing Audi.

We’re more than a little impressed with the A1 e-tron but the A1 range as a whole does look like it will offer the best competition yet to the market-dominating MINI. Audi has already said that it intends offering a range as complete and customisable as the MINI, which will start at the bog-standard A1 and run the gamut through the electric A1 e-tron up through to the performance oriented Audi S1 (which Audi has already confirmed).

With the official debut of the A1 happening just this week at Geneva, Audi are already showing what will, for us, be the pick of the standard offerings – the Audi A1 S-Line. The S-Line package is in big demand throughout the Audi range and offers a purposeful look and tweaked suspension. It als0 helps with residuals; the most in-demand used Audis are S-Line Models.

The A1 S-Line has two parts to the package. The S-Line Exterior package plays with the bodywork, adding a bigger roof spoiler, a re-shaped front bumper with bigger vents and a new back bumper with a diffuser. The S-Line Sport Package throws in 17″ or 18″ alloys, sport suspension, sport seats and a leather steering wheel. As is the norm with the S-Line, there are no tweaks to the power output of the A1.

For that we’ll have to wait for the Audi S1.
