
Audi A4 Avant Black Edition showcases Audi’s 2018 updates
The Audi A4 Black Edition has been revealed – as an Avant (Estate) and saloon – showcasing the range of updates for the A4 for the 2018 model year.
It’s three years since the current Audi A4 arrived, so it’s time for a bit of an update, and update which is showcased with the reveal of the Audi A4 Avant Black Edition (pictured above).The A4 Black Edition – a moniker familiar to Audi owners – will be available as either an Avant (estate) or saloon, and with the full range of A4 engines, from the 1.4 TSI to the 3.0 litre TDI quattro.
Goodies included in the Black Edition specification include 19″ matt titanium finish alloys, titanium black styling package – grille, mirrors and window surrounds – side skirts, rear spoiler, privacy glass and acoustic glass in the front side windows.
Inside, there’s a flat-bottomed steering wheel, and a number of updates and features which are being rolled out in the 2018 Audi range – from SE spec upwards.
These include Audi Connect Safety & Service, with Sport models getting upgraded multi-function steering wheel, 7″ driver’s information display, front seat heating and twin leather, with S Line models getting leather and Alcantara and seat heating.
As well as the updates to the A4 – and the Black Edition models – cruise and rear parking sensors are now a standard fitting, the Technology Pack is available across the board with front parking sensors or reversing camera, hill hold, Bose or B&O and heated fronts eats or keyless depending on model.
As a nice little titivation, all S models (from the S3 and all RS) now get Audi Beam to project Audi’s four rings via LED on the ground.
Pricing for the new Audi A4 Black Edition starts at £32,350 for the 1.4 TSI saloon, rising to £44,340 for the A4 Avant Black Edition 3.0 V6 TDI quattro.
