Audi TT gets a FACELIFT
The Audi TT has been given a bit of a facelift for 2019, and there’s a special edition 20th Anniversary model on offer too.
The Audi TT has been around for 20 years, and that’s spurred Audi on to give the TT – Coupe and Convertible – a bit of a facelift to celebrate its enduring appeal. The cosmetic changes Audi has wrought with this facelift are enough to make the current model look a bit dated, but not enough to change the fundamentals of style or design.
In comes a new trendy three-dimensional single frame grill and new air intakes at the front, Matrix LED headlights and OLED tail lights on the options list, new alloy designs, additional 4 rings badges and some new colour options.
There’s extra equipment too for the entry level TT, with auto lights and wipers, multifunction wheel, Audi Drive select and Audi’s virtual cockpit.
The engine choice is now a single 2.0 litre petrol in two power settings – the 40 TFSI with 194bhp and the 45 TFSI with 245bhp – with the TTS coming with a more fulsome 302bhp (which is actually a bit down thanks to a new particulate filter).
The 40 TFSI gets either a six-speed manual or seven-speed S Tronic to send drive to the front wheels, and the 45 TFSI only comes with the S tronic ‘box. The TTS gets quattro 4WD and the S tronic ‘box.
A limited edition 20th Anniversary TT model also arrives, inspired by the original 1995 concept complete with arrow grey paint, OLED tail lights, gloss grey alloys, stainless steel exhaust pipes and 20th anniversary badging. Just 999 are being offered worldwide.
