Citroen has taken the DS3 Cabrio and the DS3 Racing, put them in a blender and created the Citroen DS3 Cabrio Racing Concept, which is heading for a debut at Goodwood.

We’re big fans of the Citroen DS3, and the DS3 Cabrio manages to be something most cabrios aren’t – as good to look at as their coupe siblings.
The DS3 Cabrio Racing gets the same 1.6 litre engine used by the coupe/hatch, which means 202bhp and, as the Cabrio weighs just 25kg more than the Racing with a rood, performance that should be remarkably similar at 6.4 seconds 0-62mph.
Citroen has done a bit more to the Cabrio Racing than just chop the top off, they’ve given it their favourite interior tweak with watchstrap upholsery, a set of big 19″ alloys, red for the brake callipers, wheel hubs and lots more, carbon kit and Moondark matt textured grey paintwork.
Citroen are calling the DS3 Cabrio Racing a concept, but its appearance at Goodwood, followed by a more public debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, would suggest the Cabrio Racing is probably heading for a limited edition run.
If it is, the price will be nudging £30k.
