Fiat 124 Spider – BETTER than Viagra
The Fiat 124 Spider – Fiat’s take on the Mazda MX-5 – arrives with UK buyers later this year and, according to Fiat, means the end of Viagra.
The new Fiat 124 Spider – revealed late last year – sees the return of the much-loved Fiat Convertible sports car, and this time it’s based on the underpinnings of the Mazda MX-5, but with stylish set of Italian tailoring clothing its Japanese oily bits. Which promises to be a good combination.
But whatever the 124 Spider is, it’s not a high performance car, with engine choices (in the UK) limited to Fiat’s 124 MultiAir with 138bhp or 168bhp offering decent performance, but nothing that’s going to frighten a potent hot hatch.
But performance isn’t just about acceleration and top speed, it’s also about that intangible feeling that you’re having huge fun, and zippy little cars can often offer at least as much fun as wildly powerful monster. But, according to Fiat, the 124 Spider offers something more.
Fiat has taken the advert for the 500X – where a ‘mature’ lover lost his little blue pill in to the fuel tank of a Fiat 500, which then grew in to the 500X – and re-made it to show how effective the 124 Spider is at re-lighting the fire.
In the 124 Spider take on the story, our hapless lover is completely out of his little love life saving pills, and jumps in to the Spider to race to the chemist. But the Spider excites him so much he soon realises his journey is unnecessary, and a quick hand brake turn sees him rushing back to his bed and his waiting lover.
So forget the little blue pills – all you need is a Fiat 124 Spider. Honestly – Fiat say so..
