2015 Ford Fiesta (pictured) gets more frugal and more powerful engine options
Ford has had a play with its small cars for 2015, with Ka Black and White editions, more power for the Fiesta Zetec S and economy for the Fiesta and B-MAX.
Ford’s small car range is a bit of a game of two halves, with the most successful car in the UK in the Fiesta, but the Ka as a bit of an unloved mongrel with unappealing Ford clothes on a Fiat 500. Oh, and there’s the B-MAX too, but that’s really just a Fiesta with a bit more room and clever sliding doors. But wildly successful or just waiting to be put out of its misery, Ford are treating their small car range to a bit of an overhaul for 2015, although the Ka gets special editions, rather than real improvements, to make it a bit more appealing in the showroom. Which probably tells you all you need to know.
2015 Ford Fiesta & B-MAX updates
Ford’s 2015 Fiesta’s updates concentrate on improving what’s on offer, rather than looking to titivate to shift.
That means the Fiesta ECOnetic getting the new 94bhp 1.5 litre TDCi engine which delivers official economy of 88.3mpg and 82g/km – making it the most economical Fiesta ever.
At the other end of Fiesta goodness, the Fiesta Zetec S can now be had with the 138bhp EcoBoost engine from the Fiesta Red and Black Editions, with the alloys also carrying over as standard Zetec S equipment.
Finally, the B-Max gets more frugal too with a tweaked version of its 1.5 litre TDCi now delivering 74.3mpg and 98g/km. It’s also Euro6 compliant.
2015 Ford KA Black and White Editions

2015 Ford Ka Black Edition
The usual trick of offering more for less to generate a bit of interest is applied by Ford to the Ka for 2015 with the arrival of the Ka Black and White Editions.
Available with Midnight Black or Crystal White paint, the Ka gets black 16″ alloys as standard and the option of a body colour roof spoiler, with the interior getting a unique seat trim in black with white detailing.
The white stitching continues on the leather steering wheel, handbrake gaiter, gear knob and floor mats as well as pearl white trim dotted around too. For some reason, Ford hasn’t shared the price of the Black and White Editions, but we’re assuming they’re appealing, or what’s the point?
As well as the KA Black and White models, Ford has also upped the ante on the Ka Titanium, adding leather, heated front seats, panoramic roof, parking sensors, 16″ alloys and a black grill.
