The 2015 Honda HR-V – Honda’s new compact SUV/Crossover – goes on sale in the UK in September from 17,995 in four spec levels – S, SE and EX.
The Honda HR-V – Honda’s hope for the compact SUV/Crossover market – debuted at the Geneva Motor Show in March, and now it’s set to go on sale in the UK in September with prices from £17,995 in a choice of three spec levels – The 2015 Honda HR-V – Honda’s new compact SUV/Crossover – goes on sale in the UK in September from 17,995 in three spec levels – S, SE and EX – and a choice of a 1.5 litre petrol or 1.6 litre diesel engine.Interestingly, the HR-V – which is somewhere between a crossover and a compact SUV – looks to be going head-to-head with cars like the Nissan Juke and Renault Captur, but Honda seem to think their new car is so good it should be compared to cars a sector above – cars like the Nissan Qashqai – which perhaps has much to do with the £17,995 starting price as anything else – £4k more than the Juke but £500 less than the Qashqai.
Engine choices for the HR-V are limited, with a 1.5 litre i-VTEC petrol delivering 128bhp and returning 125g/km, and a 1.6 litre i-DTEC diesel with 118bhp returning 70,6mpg. In the UK, it’s Hobson’s choice of front-wheel-drive, although Honda are offering 4WD in other markets. Odd.
Entry-level S Spec models come with 16″ alloys, Climate, Cruise and auto lights, with the mid-range SE spec (from £19,745) adding auto wipers, parking sensors all round, upgraded sound and touch panel control for the HVAC.
Splash out for the HR-V EX (from £23,195) and you’ll get a full leather interior, Keyless, rear-view camera, opening panoramic glass roof, Sat Nav (option on SE) and 17″ alloys.
The new Honda HR-V will arrive in Honda’s UK showrooms in late August 2015.
