We’ve been sent an image which appears to be the first photo of the new 2013 Range Rover, which we expect to debut at Geneva 2012.
Just the other day we reported that the new Range Rover looks like it’s heading to the Geneva Motor Show next month for a debut earlier than expected. And that now seems even more likely to be true after the photo you see above – which certainly looks like it could be the first photo of the 2013 Range Rover – dropped in to our inbox.
As is the way with print media, they need access to images and information ahead of a new car announcement so they can get their magazines ready to roll. And this photo appears to be a scan from a magazine readied in time for the announcement from Land Rover that the new Range Rover is ready to debut.
It’s always possible that this is a clever Photoshop based on the endless spy photos of the new Land Rover halo car we’ve seen in recent months, but if it is a Photoshop, it’s a convincing one.
We’re either barking up the tree much too early – and our source that says the new Range Rover will debut in Geneva is wrong, and this is a Photoshop – or the new Range Rover is upon us.
We should know soon enough.

looks a bit low in the front to me, not good…

if you look closely, you can spot that the lights are from the evoque, doubled.

It isn’t the prettiest car I’ve ever seen, and it could be a Photoshop. But something about it rings true. Land Rover could easily turn the new Range Rover in to a big Evoque with a new version of the Range Rover nose.
Nadir H El Impersionante says
I think it’s just a fake, because it can’t be this horrible!
Mike Hallett says
Agreed! 100%!
Georgi Georgiev says
It’s an ugly photoshop of this image:

Cars UK says
That’s always possible – as we’ve said, it could be a Photoshop. If it is, it’s much more likely to have been based on this image of the 5 door Evoque, or any number of images of the RR or Evoque.
We’ll see. But there’s something about this photo…
