Jaguar Land Rover has best October EVER – sales UP 24%
Jaguar Land Rover has reported its best ever October sales, with a total of 41,553 cars sold in the month, an increase of 24 per cent on October 2014.
Jaguar Land Rover still appears to be driving sales forward, and are reporting sales in October 2015 which are the best ever, with a 24 per cent increase over the previous year.In fact, in many markets, JLR is doing very well, with sales in the UK up by 40 per cent, in the US by 74 per cent and in Europe by 24 per cent. There was even a jump of 9 per cent in China, although the rest of the world sales did drop by 5 per cent, blamed on problems in Brazil and Russia.
But it’s still Land Rover that’s the big seller, with 34,000 cars sold – up by 21 per cent – with the Range Rover Sport up by 40 per cent, the Land Rover Discover up by 41 per cent, despite its age, and the Range Rover up by 21 per cent. The new Discovery Sport – which has no comparable number for 2014 – sold 7,182. But no mention of Evoque sales (we harbour a sneaky suspicion, despite JLR’s denials, that the Evoque is starting to struggle. The Discovery Sport effect, perhaps?).
Jaguar only delivered 18 per cent of the total sales – 7,476 in the month – but that was still 39 per cent up on 2014, with the UK taking 150 per cent more Jags than last year and Europe 64 per cent, with the new Jaguar XE shifting 3,515 in the month.
But with XE sales about to start in China (and in the US in 2016), and the new F-Pace on the way, we should see Jaguar sales continue to grow strongly.
