Jaguar XE Configurator goes Live
Following the debut of the full Jaguar XE range at the Paris Motor Show, Jaguar has launched a configurator for the XE so you can build and spec your own car.
Jaguar fully revealed the new XE – the car they hope will be a runaway success in the premium compact sector – at the Paris Motor SHow this week, and they’ve been quick to get a configurator for the XE live so potential buyers (and time-wasters) can get stuck in and see just what’s on offer. And there’s plenty to choose from.
We managed to push the price of the 3.0 litre supercharged XE up to £60,000 with a bit of liberal clicking on many of the more interesting options, but with a bit of restraint you can spec a very appealing XE without breaking the bank.
That will probably mean picking just a couple of ‘Packs’ rather than going daft, and trying not to be seduced by endless toys that look very tempting but will add little to your real enjoyment of your new XE.
But with stuff like heads-up laser display, Wi-Fi hotspot, Cabin pre-heat, Adaptive Cruise, Smart Key, LED running lights, high-end Meridian Sound, Blind Spot Monitor, better alloys, colour and trim choices and many, many more options, it won’t be easy to keep your mouse from clicking endless boxes.
Still, it’s a great time-waster and a decent enough configurator to tweak your new XE almost to perfection.
