Lego, the world’s biggest producer of ‘bricks’ and ‘tyres’, delivers the James Bond Aston Martin DB5 from Goldfinger, complete with all the toys.
It’s probably a bit early to be thinking about Christmas presents for that hard to buy for petrolhead and James Bond lover in your life. But Lego probably has the perfect answer.
Launched today, and on sale in August (just in time for those super organised folk who don’t buy Christmas presents on Christmas Eve), you can now buy a Lego Creator kit of James Bond’s Aston Martin DB5 from Goldfinger.
Admittedly it looks a bit Lego blocky, but full of Lego charm, and you’ll have to buy a Lego man in a dinner suit to put in the car, but all the toys those old enough to remember the Corgi Goldfinger car are present and correct in the Lego version, and it’s a cool way to keep any petrolhead busy over the Christmas holidays.
Once you’ve put together the 1,295 pieces in the kit you’ll have a 13″ Lego DB5 complete with revolving number plates, machine guns, tyre shredders, wire wheels, a bullet shield for the back window and even an ejector seat.
There’s even an in-line six under the bonnet and an interior with actual detail like a phone and a hidden computer screen.
So, fork out £129.99 (and another £15 for a drinkable bottle of red) and you’ll have made Christmas perfect for that grown up little boy in your life.
