We have video of Ken Block at the 20122 Goodwood Festival of Speed, both hooning on track and blatting round the forest rally stage.
We thought we’d covered all that the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2011 had to offer. But we were wrong. We’d forgotten Ken Block.
We’d given you Claire charging up the hillclimb in the BMW 1M Coupe. We’d got up close and personal with the Koenigsegg Agera and we published a huge gallery of photos of pretty much everything that went up the hillcimb this year. Oh, and video and photos of the McLaren MP4-12C and Messrs Button and Hamilton too, as well as Chris Evans’ Magnificent 7 Ferraris. And more besides.
So we thought we’d done enough to give you a real feel of what the Festival of Speed is like. But we didn’t do Ken Block, and as Ken Block is fast becoming a Goodwood fixture we thought we ought to make amends.
Last year the good Mr Block got the trophy for the best hooning of the year from Lord March, and this year he repeated the win once again. But he did try even harder to please than before.
Ken didn’t bring just one car to Goodwood, he brought the Gymkhana III Ford Fiesta for playing on the solid stuff and the Fiesta RS WRC for the loose stuff.
He also played host to a number of passengers as he burnt more rubber on his own than the rest of the FoS combined. Those passengers included Charlie March Jr (son of Lord March), US rally driver Bill Caswell and Rolands Sands, renowned custom bike builder. All of which you can see in the compilation video of Ken’s Goodwood antics (below).
Hopefully the Goodwood grass will grow back before it’s time for the 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed and Ken returns for more mayhem and madness.
