The promising Kia pro_cee’d GT – the 3-door cee’d with the 1.6 litre turbo engine – is now on sale, and Kia are tempting buyers with a new promo video.

Kia’s first effort at a proper hot hatch – the Kia pro_cee’d GT – appeared back in January before its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March, and going on sale in June.
With decent looks, decent price point – the pro_cee’d GT starts at £19,995 – and a suspension setup that’s been fettled to cope with the almost 50 per cent hike in power from the regular pro_cee’d, it’s a decent offering.
And it gets more appealing when you factor in Kia’s 7 year warranty and the fact that even the entry-level GT comes with stuff like AirCon, Cruise, Auto lights, parking sensors and privacy glass in the price.
So it’s a decent offering at a decent price point and, with real GTs now hitting the roads, Kia has put together a new promo video (below) for the pro_cee’d GT, extolling its finer points.
It does seem a bit odd watching a Kia video that’s more about performance than warranties, but it’s a good effort to get more buyers to wake up and realise that the pro_cee’d is a contender.
It may not necessarily float your boat, but if you’re in the market for a car in this segment you really should make sure you at least give the pro_cee’d GT a crack before you buy.
You will probably be pleasantly surprised.
