Land Rover has launched two special edition versions of the Discovery – Landmark & Graphite Editions – to keep buyers motivated as the Disco starts to run-out.
The Land Rover Discovery may have been with us for a very long time, but even in the face of new Land Rover models – like the new Discovery Sport, Range Rover and Sport – it still manages to look appealing and contemporary. But anyone interested in a Land Rover knows the next generation Discovery will arrive in the not too distant future, so Land Rover has done what you’d expect any car maker with a model coming to the end of its shelf-life to do – launch a special edition to keep punters interested.
Land Rover have actually released two special edition Discoveries to this end – the Landmark and Graphite – with cosmetic and equipment tweaks which go on sale this month with first deliveries in January 2016.
The Discovery Landmark takes the HSE spec as its starting point and adds in roof rails, black finish for the vents on the front wings, grille and mirrors, Landmark badges and 20″ split-spoke alloys. Interior changes include Extended Windsor leather pack in Ebony, Almond or Tan.
Colour choices are Zanzibar (exclusive to the Landmark), Waitomo Grey, Santorini Black, Yulong White and Indus Silver.
The Discovery Landmark starts from £55,995.
The second Disco special is the Discovery Graphite takes the Black Pack as its inspiration, but with a Graphite finish for the front wing vents and grill (which also gets a gloss black and lighter grey frame), 19″ split-spoke alloys in high gloss dark grey and a choice of nine exterior colours and three interior choices.
The Land Rover Discovery Graphite costs from £47,495.
