The Lotus Evora Sport 410 has been revealed ahead of a debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show as an Evora with a bit more power and a chunk less weight.
The Lotus Evora Sport 410 is heading to the Geneva Motor Show next week as a more focussed take on the Evora. The Evora 410 is a move on from last year’s Evora 400, and is a more hardcore Evora experience, with weight shedding of 70kg and a slight boost in power making the 410 the quickest Evora to date.
Lotus has managed to shave a substantial 70kg off the Evora’s weight by ditching stuff like the door bins, speakers and centre armrest, and have used carbon fibre for the roof, body kit and bootlid. The infotainment has also been ditched from the standard spec and the seats are carbon fibre with Alcantara trim.
Lotus has also managed to encourage an extra 10bhp out of the Evora’s 3.5 litre supercharged V6 – the 410 has 404bhp – which, in combination with the weight drop, means the 410 is 0.3s quicker than the 400 at 0-62mph in 3.9 seconds, and will reach 186mph.
Lotus has also given the 410’s chassis a bit of a tweak too, with revised springs and dampers and a slightly lower ride height. It retains the stability control and limited-slip diff from the 400.
Lotus are planning on building just 150 Evora Sport 410 cars, each costing from £79,900.
