Lotus Evora 400 costs £72,000
The fastest Lotus car ever produced – the Lotus Evora 400 – will cost £72,000 when it goes on sale, but options can easily push that past £80,000.
Earlier this year, Lotus revealed the Evora 400 as the fastest and most powerful Lotus ever built for the road, and subsequently debuted it at the Geneva Motor Show in March. But what we didn’t know at the time was how much the Evora 400 costs. Well now we do – a not insubstantial £72,000. Which might also make the Evora 400 the most expensive Lotus ever, certainly in absolute terms. For your £72,000 you will be getting a more grown-up Evora, one with a much better interior than we’re used to, cosmetic changes that are right on the border between appealing and aftermarket and 400bhp thanks to turning the supercharger up to 11.
But £72,000 isn’t where it stops for the Evora 400, Lotus are keen you spend more and have a selection of delights to relieve you of extra cash.
They include an auto ‘box for £2,000, Alcantara and Leather for £2,500, Metallic paint for £900, better alloys for £2,000 cruise for £300, coloured callipers for another £300 and £1,250 for a Black Pack that adds gloss black detailing on the exterior and a black headliner for the interior.
Jean-Marc Gales, Lotus boss, said:
The Evora 400 is the fastest road-going Lotus that we have ever produced. It delivers supercar looks allied to supercar performance and our global dealer network of 179 dealers which will grow to 200 by the end of the year is excited to be able to deliver this high performing benchmark handling supercar to the ever growing customer waiting list.
The Lotus Evora 400 goes in to production in the summer, with first customer cars expected in August.
