Mazda 2 Tech Edition arrives as a Limited Edition Mazda2 in the UK
The recently arrived new Mazda2 gets its first Limited Edition model in the UK, with a 750 run of the Mazda2 Tech Edition adding more technology to the Mazda2.
The Mazda2 – Mazda’s little Ford Fiesta competitor – is a better car than its sales would suggest, and with a recent update it’s now even more appealing. Not only does the Mazda 2 now have sporty GT and GT Sport offerings, it now gets its first Limited Edition model in the UK – the Mazda2 Tech edition.
Limited to just 750 units, the Tech Edition looks do do what it says on the tin, with extra technology added to the Mazda2 mix.
That means rear parking sensors, auto lights and wipers, Climate, Privacy Glass, 16″ alloys and a choice of posh paint in the price too – Dynamic Blue Mica, Snowflake White Pearlescent or Jet Black Mica.
Just like the rest of the latest Mazda2 range, there’s no diesel option on offer and instead all Mazda2 models – including the new Tech Edition – get Mazda’s 1.5 litre petrol engine.
The Mazda2 Tech Edition is based on the 1.5 90ps SE-L Nav, so it also gets stuff like LED fogs, power folding mirrors, extra sound insulation and G-Vectoring Control.
Jeremy Thomson, Mazda Uk MD, said:
The addition of the Tech Edition gives us a limited edition model that offers a winning combination of excellent equipment and extra value. Designed for a younger audience it is another example of how our Mazda2 special editions offer a distinctive and well-equipped small car experience.
The new Mazda2 Tech Edition goes on sale in the UK on 1 July, with prices from £14,995.
