The first picture of the new Mercedes E Class Estate has leaked out

It’s now all but confirmed that Mercedes will bring their station wagon variant of the E Class – The Mercedes E Class Estate – to the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. And after we confirmed the news this morning, we got sent a whole stack of pictures of the new E Class Estate, so here they are.

But so far there has been no official announcement, but the fact that we’ve been sent a stack of official photos – but unofficially – makes the announcement imminent.

The new E Class Estate will go on sale in the UK and Europe before the end of the year, and offer everything from frugal four-pot petrol and diesel engines to the big bruiser 6.3 AMG (although the AMG may lag a bit behind.

The E class Estate is pretty much what you’d expect from an E Class, with all the major features carried over from the new E Class Saloon. But it does get a clever third row of seats – pointing backwards – so the kids can see who’s crashing in to the back of you!
