Mitsubishi ASX hangs on with just the ASX Juro model
The Mitsubishi ASX SUV is now only available as a single ASX Juro model with 1.6 litre petrol engine in the UK. Costs £19,195.
The Mitsubishi ASX has been around for eight years, and it’s still pretty much the same compact SUV it was when it arrived. But it’s not going to be around for much longer. In fact it probably shouldn’t be around at all, but with Mitsubishi’s plans to replace the ASX with a model above – the new Eclipse Cross – and a model below, it’s struggling along until Mitsubishi has their new B-segment crossover – which will probably be an EV – ready to go.
Having already dumped diesels in the ASX (and the Outlander), the sole option for the ASX is now a 1.6 litre petrol engine with 116bhp, which takes a leisurely 12.2 seconds to hit 62mph and has official economy of 41.5mpg.
But now the choice is cut further, as Mitsubishi UK will now only sell you the range-topping (not that there’s a ‘range’ anymore) ASX Juro, with new back bumper, front grille and centre console.
Costing £19,195, the ASX Juro gets 18″ alloys, privacy glass, Climate, Keyless, heated seats, Cruise, reversing camera, DAB and Smartphone Link. The only option you can add is metallic paint for an extra £525.
To help you jump in to an ASX, Mitsubishi will happily divvy up a £2k deposit contribution if you grab one on PCP.
