Mitsubishi Engelberg Tourer Concept tease
The Mitsubishi Engelberg Tourer Concept – teased ahead of a debut at the Geneva Motor Show – will showcase Mitsubishi’s future for SUVs and electrification.
With the 2019 Geneva Motor Show only just over a month away, you can expect to see more and more teases for new stuff – concepts and product – as the biggest motor Show in the calendar looms.Today we get the first tease for the Mitsubishi Engelberg Tourer Concept, which takes its name from a posh Swiss ski resort, perhaps in the hope its Swiss tribute will give it more coverage.
All we get of the Engelberg Tourer Concept at the moment is a head on shadowy shot (above) showing an SUV with standout light signature, smooth lines and a roof bar with spots.
The Engleberg (we want to call it the Englebert) follows on from Mitsubishi’s e-Evolution Concept in 2017 which came with a trio of electric motors and four-wheel drive but, for now at least, Mitsubishi aren’t saying what’s under the Engelberg.
They do say the Engleberg brings new developments in SUV styling and focuses on next generation tech and enhanced EV performance. Which could perhaps mean this is a plug-in SUV rather than a BEV, and maybe a clue as to where the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is heading.
We’ll find out in Geneva, if not before.
