The Tokyo Motor Show arrives in November, ahead of which Mitsubishi is teasing three new concepts to be revealed at the show.

The three Mitsubishi Concepts heading for the Tokyo Motor Show
The European Motor Shows may be over for 2013, but the Tokyo Motor Show is still to come (first public day 23rd November), and Mitsubishi are already teasing new concepts for their home show (above).
The biggest of the trio of concepts is the Mitsubishi Concept GC-PHEV, a proper full-size plug-in hybrid SUV, which Mitsubishi says offer dynamic driving and features MMC’s S-AWC (Super All Wheel Control) to deliver better handling and stability on-road and still be properly capable off-road. It also gets full connectivity.
The second of the three concepts is the Mitsubishi Concept XR-PHEV, a compact SUV with a plug-in hybrid powerplant which offers big economy and low emissions and comes with styling that makes it look like a sports coupe on stilts.
The final of the three concepts is the Mitsubishi Concept AR – which isn’t a plug-in hybrid – but which is a sort of crossover come MPV in the SUV mould with lots of space for passengers and a down-sized direct injection turbo engine.
These may be billed as Mitsubishi Concepts, but there’s a good chance some -or all – are heading for production before too long.
More on the new Mitsubishi Concepts as the Tokyo Motor Show gets closer.
