New BMW M2 CS
The new BMW M2 CS arrives to sit above the M2 Competition, boasting 444bhp, a £75,320 price tag and a limited run. Arrives in the UK spring 2020.
There’s a new BMW M2 CS on the block, signalling the end of the current 2 Series Coupe and sitting above the M2 Competition in the pecking order, complete with a limited run (we don’t know how many), 444bhp and a big old price tag of £75,320.BMW states the obvious by telling us the M2 CS sits one rung above the M2 Competition, and if a track-honed M2 is what you’re after then this is for you.
The engine under the bonnet is the same 3.0 litre straight-six as the M2 Competition, but here it gets a tweak or three to deliver 444bhp, enough to get the M2 CS to 62mph in 4.0 seconds, although if you opt for the manual version that rises to 4.2 seconds.
Other tweaks include Adaptive M Suspension and bigger M Sport brakes, new front splitter and rear diffuser, Active M Diff with custom settings for a bit more drift and the usual Efficient, Sport and Sport+ driving modes.
There’s also a carbon fibre roof and scooped bonnet and optional carbon ceramic brakes to sit behind the 19″ alloys, new ‘noisy’ exhaust function and an interior with lashings of Alcantara, lightweight seats and bits of CFRP.
The BMW M2 CS will arrive in the UK in spring 2020 with prices from £75,320 and is on sale now.
