New Mazda3 hatchback UK prices and specs
The 2019 Mazda 3 Hatchback goes on sale in the UK in five trim levels with two engine options. Mazda 3 saloon to follow later in the year.
A new Mazda3 was revealed at the Los Angeles Motor Show last November, in both Hatch and Saloon guises. And we did wonder if Mazda would bring the Mazda3 saloon to the UK this year. Well, they are, although not until later in 2019.For now, you can have the new Mazda3 Hatch with a choice of a single diesel and petrol engine option, with the new SkyActiv-X compression ignition petrol engine arriving later in the year too.
The engine options for now are therefore the 120bhp 2.0-litre Skyactiv-G petrol and the 114bhp Skyactiv-D diesel, with a wider range of trim options – SE-L, SE-L Lux, Sport Lux, GT Sport and GT Sport Tech.
Mazda are keen you know the nwe Mazda3 comes with stuff you’ve never seen before (on a Mazda Hatch) including colour HUD, Radar Cruise, LED headlights, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and Traffic Sign recognition.
From SE-L Lux on up you get reversing camera, Keyless and heated front seats, whilst Sport Lux adds more chrome and privacy glass.
Move up to the GT Sport and you get electric black leather seats, heated steering wheel and BOSE, with the GT Sport Tech adding more safety stuff including 360 camera and Driver Attention Monitoring.
You can have all the trim levels with both engine options (except the GT Sport Tec which is only available with the petrol engine), and the choice of manual or automatic gearboxes across the whole range.
Prices for the new Mazda3 Hatch start at £20,595 for the Mazda3 122ps SE-L, rising to £27,735 for the Mazda3 116ps GT Sport Auto Diesel.
Order books are now open at Mazda’s UK dealers, with first customer cars due in May.
