New Mercedes CLA video tease
The New Mercedes CLA – Mercedes’ swoopy four-door coupe – will debut this week at CES, ahead of which the ‘Edition’ model gets a video tease.
What you see in the vide is pretty much what you’d expect of a new CLA, delivering the four-door coupe looks Mercedes first debuted with the original CLS, just in a smaller package. But it will be a bigger package this time than the last CLA as the new A-Class has grown in the current generation.
It’s perhaps going to be a tougher sell for the CLA this time round as it has in-house competition from the new A-Class saloon, and under the skin it will still be pure A-Class, from the usual run of petrol and diesel lumps to the livelier CLA 35 and 45 AMG models.
The new CLA on show in the video is actually the CLA Edition 1, the usual trick of delivering a highly-specced model in the first year of sales, so it comes with all the bells and whistles. Although the glimpse of the interior shows a pure A-Class as far as we can tell.
