New Peugeot 2008 Allure Premium
Peugeot’s 2008 SUV gets a new trim level in the UK – Allure Premium – adding a new trim level for the 2008 and extra equipment to the Allure trim.
Surprisingly, the Peugeot 2008 SUV – Peugeot’s compact 208 SUV – has been with us for five years, and has turned in to a proper success for Peugeot. And it’s a decent little urban warrior. But Peugeot realises that cars at the lower end of their offerings are often bought by downsizers who aren’t necessarily looking for what’s cheap, but what fits their needs. And that often includes ‘big car goodies’.
To cater for that, Peugeot has added a new trim level to the 2008 SUV range – Allure Premium – which aims to add more goodies for those who want a bigger spec, and deliver added value in the process.
So the Allure Premium starts with the standard Allure spec – which isn’t shoddy in the first place – and adds extra toys at less than it would cost were you to spec up and Allure model in the same way.
Inside, you get Oxford Black trim and a Cielo panoramic glass roof as well as Peugeot’s very good i-Cockpit, with reversing camera and rear parking aid, together with full colour coding on the exterior, add to the ‘Premium’ feel.
Available with either the 1.2 litre PureTech 82 petrol or 1.6 litre BlueHDi diesel, Peugeot say the extra goodies would cost you £1400 on an Allure, but the Allure Premium trim is just £800 more than the Allure.
The Peugeot 2008 Allure Premium is now available to order at Peugeot’s UK dealers.
